NextEra Energy Honored with Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles Award by the National Business Group on Health
Company is the only member of the U.S. energy sector to receive Platinum designation
JUNO BEACH, Fla. – NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE) announced today that it has been honored for the ninth time by the National Business Group on Health for its ongoing commitment to promoting a healthy work environment and encouraging its workers to live healthier lifestyles. NextEra Energy is the only company in the U.S. energy sector to receive this award in the prestigious Platinum category, which recognizes employers for their “exemplary workplace well-being programs, cultures and results.”

Also in 2013, 64 percent of eligible employees and 44 percent of eligible spouses and same-gender partners participated in a program to earn financial incentives to assess their key health metrics and to adopt healthy lifestyles.
