Alfreda-Wooten

After retiring in 2022 following 45 years of service with Florida Power & Light Company, Alfreda Wooten, former senior customer advisor, provides free legal services to help those in need in her community.

Alfreda assists the Florida Supreme Court Mediator for three different Judicial Branches, the 15th, 18th and 19th, helping ensure defendants who can’t afford an attorney receive the legal services they need. She has been mediating for nine years and volunteers her services to help navigate clients through the mediation process and try to come to a resolution to close their case. The judicial branches that she supports serves clients in Brevard County, West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Juno Beach, Fort Pierce, Vero Beach and St. Lucie County.

During her spare time, Alfreda enjoys gardening, golfing and shopping. She volunteers at the Treasure Coast food bank and at Florida Tech College, supporting the WeVenture Ignite 360 Mentoring Program in Palm Bay that assists small businesses that want to grow in scale. When Alfreda isn’t supporting these efforts, she enjoys staying connected to the NextEra Energy family serving as a Retiree Network Chapter Coordinator for the Treasure Coast.
