They set off on their post-retirement adventure after purchasing their very own RV in 2019. “When you buy a Grand Design RV, you become a member of the Grand Design family,” they shared. They quickly learned this statement was true after attending their first Grand Design rally in Goshen, Indiana, along with 500 other Grand Design owners from around the country. They immediately felt at home with their new Grand Design family, and after learning there had never been a rally hosted in Florida, they decided it was time for them to start planning one of their own. 

After a year of planning and organizing, they launched promotions for their rally at a campground in Eustis, Fla., and received an overwhelming response. They sold out in one week, registering 120 RVs and putting another 175 RVs on a waiting list. The rally was such a success that they have already rebooked the same campground for another rally in April 2022.

To date, they have attended rallies in Indiana and Georgia, and are looking forward to an upcoming rally in Ohio. They also hope to attend some rallies on the west coast in the next year.

When he isn’t traveling the country by RV, Ray enjoys serving as chapter coordinator for the Lake Ridge retiree network chapter and staying connected to his NextEra Energy family.
