Following a decade of service with Florida Power & Light Company and Gulf Power Company, Becca Boles, former FPL marketing and communications director for Northwest region, has committed her time to serving on boards and supporting organizations in her community.
With a passion for helping others and uplifting her community, Becca has been on the board of the Pensacola State College Foundation for five years. Her immediate family was able to get a jump start on college education at Pensacola State College through the dual enrollment program while they were in high school. The college understands the regional workforce needs and designs an education degree to meet those needs. Becca is excited to continue to help raise scholarship funds to help students in her community have an opportunity to get the education they need to pursue their dreams. For about three years she has also sat on the HCA Florida West Hospital board, which is very active in giving back to the community through nonprofit leadership and employee volunteerism. She is honored to be a board member and supports its commitment to making a positive impact in the community it serves. Both organizations work to give back by creating opportunities for learning and by serving often as the solution to fill specific gaps.
Becca also supports WSRE, her local PBS station and helped host a local pledge night to raise much needed funds to support the station and the great programming it provides for children and adults. WSRE said it was the most successful pledge night ever!

“Retirement life is a gift –– a time to build deeper relationships with family and friends, use your flexible schedule to help others, make your health and wellness a priority, appreciate the beauty that is around you, explore the city where you live or if you’re lucky, travel on a new adventure,” Becca said.
Since retiring, Becca has taken advantage of her time. She frequently visits her daughter and granddaughters in Colorado, spending quality time with them and enjoying outdoor hiking. She also takes weekly art classes at her church. Becca is passionate about walking on the beach and hunting for shells, creating flower arrangements for homebound people from her church, and she enjoys making jewelry and oyster shell ornaments.
