NextEra Energy, Inc. and Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) are leaders in innovation, technology, and moving Florida's economy forward. In 2011, FPL founded its Office of Economic Development (OED).

FPL's OED is introducing LeadForward, a program that will expand FPL's economic development teams' lead generation efforts for economic development in Florida and we would like your help. You will receive an incentive for your lead!

What is a lead?

A lead is a company that is in the beginning stages of evaluating an expansion or relocation of business activities and would consider choosing to do so in Florida. The company doesn't have to be looking specifically at Florida but is open to the idea. The company could tell the NextEra Energy retiree that is considering an expansion or opening, and the NextEra Energy retiree could recommend Florida. To qualify, the company cannot already be engaged with FPL's economic development teams regarding this expansion or relocation. 

What is the incentive?

NextEra Energy retirees are eligible to participate.

Lead Payout: $300 in gift card (taxable) per retiree for a new, qualified lead. 

How to submit a lead? 

Retiree must complete and submit the LeadForward web form below and meet the following Lead criteria:

• Retiree must complete the web form's required fields.
• Project lead cannot be listed as a lead or project in FPLOED's project database.
• No location decision has been publicly or privately made.
• Following introduction from retiree, company must be able to provide general project requirements and a location decision timeline within next 2-3 years.
• Retirees can submit multiple leads as long as they are unique.    

FPL put together the economic development team to support Florida's economy in the depths of the Great Recession. The team promotes the state as a premier location to conduct business and works to attract businesses to expand in or locate to Florida, creating jobs and bolstering the economy in the process.

The team has had great success but has realized the company is missing out on a huge opportunity. It involves all of you.
